In terms of plaques, it is the highest ranking you can get. It simply means you have had the FOTM or FOTW award, or about to get it, you spit ill rhymes, you reply, and you do the whole nine.

It's not based on skill. Well, in a away it is because in order to get one, you must be spitting noticeably hot material, and most important of all replying. The FOTW winners automatically get Gold, and the Month winners automaticaly get Diamond.
