  1. How do I start shopping?
    From the left navigation bar, choose Missy or Generous Flax in either 2008 or 2009. Appearing below that and in the middle of the screen will be subcategories of the different lines of FLAX that we carry. Just start at the top and work your way down or go directly to the FLAX line of your choice. On each item is a "swatch" link where you can see the colors that are available and based on availability, a picture of a model wearing the item so you can see how it fits can be viewed by clicking on the sketch. If you are still having problems, just call our home office at 843-837-7439 9am - 5pm EST Monday through Friday and we will be happy to assist you.

  2. Do you carry Petite Flax?
    We do carry a few. The trick is that the size "drop down" line is longer if the item has a Petite in the list. Please read our FAQ on Wish List Ordering and email kirsten@beachboutique.com if you need something specific.

  4. Why can't I use my Online Gift Credit and a coupon?

    Patricia sends out coupons regularly and our policy is that you can only use 1 coupon per order. Coupons cannot be combined.

    If you have an Online Gift Credit from a return or Gift Certificate, you must call in your order to 843-837-7439. Thank you for your patience.

  5. Can you give me step by step instructions?

    How to order online:

    1. Select the category that you are looking for.
    2. Select a subcategory.
    3. Select an item, include the amount in the quantity box.
    4. Choose the item's Size first then Color from the drop-down menus.
    5. Select "Order" and that item will be placed in your shopping cart.
    6. To continue shopping, choose your next item using steps 1-6 again.
    7. If you are through shopping, select "Checkout" located in the shopping cart
    8. Review your shopping cart contents. If any of the items on your order are not in-stock you will be notified on this screen. If your order is correct, select "Checkout" again.
    9. Log in if you are a previous customer or click "Register New Account", select "Submit".
    10. Using the drop-down menu, select what shipping method you would like to use, select "Submit".
    11. Review your order again and select "Submit".
    12. Fill out your payment details and select "Submit". You must check the box agreeing to our policies before your order can be processed.
    13. Print page out for your records taking note if the item was "on order".

    The program will restart itself after 15 minutes of inactivity. If this does not describe your problem, please email us at info@beachboutique.com to describe your situation so that we may send it to our webmaster for a solution.

  7. What does the "H" stand for?
    FLAX comes in two weights: Medium and Handkerchief. The "H" stands for the Handkerchief weight linen, otherwise known as tissue or lightweight linen (our ladies in Arizona praise this weight daily). Almost all of FLAX's collections have at least a few colors available in the handkerchief weight. Some colors are even available in both wights, such as these colors in our Neutral Collection: Milk H, Natural H and Black H. Neutral is available year-round. The Summer Collection always runs in Handkerchief weight linen so click on the links below for your favorite Handkerchief Weight Colors.

  8. When I placed my order, I noticed the status said On Order. What does that mean?
    We often place upcoming groups online for pre-ordering. During the ordering process, it is posted several different times that the piece/s you are ordering are not immediately available. Once you have placed your items in your cart and you check out, the status should read "on order". You will also be notified within 2-3 business days of placing your order with the current delivery status. FLAX reserves the right to ship up to 6 weeks beyond the original anticipated delivery date. Your credit card will be charged in full upon receipt of your pre-order (this guarantees your item). Any item/s currently instock will be shipped within 48 hours of receipt of your order. You will not be charged any additional shipping for your backordered/pre-ordered goods. As always, after you receive your item/s, if there is a problem you may exchange for size or color based on availability. We will also issue Online Gift Certificates but will not issue credit on credit cards or PayPal for any pre-orders.

  9. What is your cancellation policy?

    Periodically, Patricia's Beachboutique offers our customers the opportunity to purchase upcoming groups in a pre-ordering status. These items are reserved for our customers with their payment at the time of the order. If a customer cancels this reserved order prior to delivery, please see below

    There will be no refunds to your credit card on Wish Lists, Trunk Shows or Special Orders. As always, after you receive the item/s, if there is a problem, you have 2 options: It is exchangeable for style, color or size based on availability or you can receive an Online Gift Certificate. When you make a Wish List Order, you agree to these terms.

  10. Online Sales Policies
    Twice a year, Beachboutique has 50% off sales. Due to the volume of orders, we typically receive during these sales, it is physically impossible for us to notify our customers of sold out items. We will make any any adjustments including recalculating shipping costs and make notes on the receipts you receive. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

  11. Why didn't I receive a Sold Out notification on my order?
    The only time this should happen is twice a year, when Beachboutique.com has 50% off sales.     No. We have a sophisticated program that once you first select a size by clicking the drop down arrow to the right, it will tell you what colors are available in that size in the drop down menu below it.

  17. I have an Online Gift Certificate. How do I use it?
    Go to our website and place the order like normal. You will see a text box when you check out that says Gift Coupon Code. You type your gift code: 01062007 into that box and click the button. Then proceed to log in with your user name and password.

    Very good question. We only carry FLAX, Babe in Control and Scripture Bracelets on the website. The list of other designers are what we have in our Brick and Mortar store in Hilton Head. If you are familiar with a certain brand name, someone might be able to take some pictures and email them to you... If you are interested. Just let us know.

  19. Do you or are you going to carry any thinking tropics in 2008?
    FLAX's Production Department has informed us that they will not be doing a Thinking Tropics Collection this year. The Hawaii Shirt (which is very similar to the Camp, except it is slightly bigger and longer than the camp) will be offered in the new 2008 Summer Collection. We have ordered the three colors in the Hawaii Shirt, size 3G. Please do not hesitate to ask if there is anything else you are looking for. Good Luck on your search!

    FLAX usually includes the Soda Pop Top in at least one of their collections each year but we haven't seen it yet. Make sure you are on our mailing list to receive our weekly newsletters.

  23. What does the 'ETA' mean on my Invoice/Packing List?
    “ETA” means expected date of arrival of your goods to FLAX. Once the goods are sent from FLAX to us, we receive them into our processing center within four business days. They are then turned around and packaged out to you. However—and this can be a very big however—FLAX reserves the right to take up to six weeks to ship from their ETA and out to us. Beachboutique.com tries to keep the “ETA” notifications to a minimum because of the confusion this sometimes creates when a customer thinks the date is set in stone. Unfortunately, FLAX’s deliveries are governed by the U.S. importation regulations which may affect their expected date to us. FLAX also may have problems with material coming in from their manufacturer. If it comes in damaged, this too will affect the delivery date to you. Kirsten of Beachboutique.com is in daily contact with her counterpart at FLAX to maintain control of when FLAX is expected to be shipped and if there will be delays. In addition to the initial notice to you of an “ETA” on your order sent to you via e-mail as well as in any partial shipment to you, Kirsten keeps you up to date on these deliveries in our weekly newsletter along with posting it on our homepage. The good news as is that many times Kirsten is able to obtain the “ETA” goods faster than the date originally indicated. If, however, you have not received a UPS tracking notification within seven days of the “ETA” date, please check the website home page, as it should show if the delivery has been delayed.

  24. Why don't you carry all of the Collections that FLAX has to offer?

    We have carried FLAX in our brick and mortar store and subsequently on the Internet for over twelve years. We have, during that period, carried almost every group at one time or another that FLAX has offered. Thus, we have a history of what groups, colors, and fibers tend to have the best customer response for us.

    Being a store in the South (right here in sunny-most of the time-Hilton Head Island, S.C.), certain materials such as corduroy, flannels and wools do not sell well here. This includes heavy coats like the embroidered ones currently being shown in FLAX's new Classy 'N FLAX Too line. Since the inventory shown on-line is shared inventory with our brick and mortar store, all our ordering has to consider not only the internet customer needs but also those of our walk-in traffic.

    Now, for the happy news: For the most part, beachboutique.com carries the majority of what FLAX offers, especially in their linens, cottons and their occasional rayon groups. Further happy news is we have a Wish list Program which provides you with a vehicle to express your desire for an item when it is not on our website, but currently being offered by FLAX. Kirsten heads up that department, and tries her best to fulfill your FLAX desires, whether it is through us or through one of our sister FLAX sites.

  25. What is the "Comments" section of your order area and what can I put in this section?
    The Comments section is on the final page of the checkout process on the same page that you enter the payment information. You can put several things in this text box including:
    1. Any questions regarding your order.
    2. Ask to have any item not seen on the website to add to the order. This will be handled as a "Wish List" request.
    3. Special requests for shipping, like hold and ship on a future date; ship to a special address; redeem a gift certificate or coupon (please include the number); if you are having difficulty with the system taking your info.
    4. Or just to say "thanks" for the great job we do in servicing your FLAX desires.

    The square is blank because the style has been sold out in all colors and styles. We update our site daily to remove these items.

  27. Does Flax still make the "Long Pant?" I have not seen it in a while. It's really the only product I'm interested in.
    FLAX never truly "retires" a style but it has been a while since we have seen the long pant. Maybe they will bring it back next year. The closest style this year is the Slim Slacks. Try a Google search for FLAX Long Pant and see what comes up.

    Charles Albert uses a higher quality 950 silver vs the typical 925 silver. By doing this, the piece is less prone to tarnishing. Silver often has another metal (usually copper) alloyed with it to make it a little harder and longer wearing for jewelry. The number indicates the parts per thousand by weight of silver in the final alloy. Sterling silver, for example, is 925 parts per thousand, or 92.5% by weight silver, and the rest is copper or other hardening metals. So your silver 950 would be 950 ppt, or 95% by weight silver. Hope this helps.
