PVC packaging for Electronic equipment
Hi, My company have just started packaging USB drives, flash cards etc for the European retail market and currently use PETG for the packaging (RF welding process is being used to seal). Can somebody let me know what the score is with using PVC for this as I have heard so many conflicting reports as to wether it has been banned or not within the EU. Our US and Far East operations use PVC and there are major cost savings to be made by switching from PETG. Also are there any other materials that we could consider?? I hope somebody can help.
