Press Items...
No doubt the result of my Tour reports of Brid, although still awaiting 2007's effort, only submitted some 6 months ago , I am responsible for press submissions relating to DCHC in an effort to raise the Club's profile... To assist, I need information, not only on weekend matches, but individual success, youth, veteran et al at District, Regional, National levels. Print deadlines are important, so would really like to submit an article to Press Editor by Tuesday at very latest, your assistance is paramount, I will take information by email (walker89@btinternet.com or phone, including text 07834224275) |

Oh Mighty Web Guru, I and many others will wait with breath baited for such a wonderous moment..... Meanwhile I submitted an article to Press in respect of last weekend to 'test the water' over what they will print or not. Overall, future reports will be down to content supplied, had a lot of searching to get this week's info, so is dependent on submissions by Captains or designated Team Scribes.........

Oh intrepid reporter, we should be in a position this week to divulge who, if any, from the club has made the East District Under 18 and Under 16 squads. I will keep you posted... |

Excellent Coaching Guru, the very stuff I'm looking for and hopefully what the Press are too, together with other media outlets. It may mean we go for photos's as well at a later date when any members play representative fixtures....

I am in the process of finishing an article on the Club for the Press, who are very supportive and intend sending photographer down to Rosyth this Staurday for some action shots to accompany the 500-600 words I'm providing..... Information flow is improving from 1sts & 2nds, but my weekly reports are not solely on these two teams, the Club as 7 mens teams, 3 ladies & youngsters. I hope to have an article on Under-14's recent 8-a-side success in this week, whilst Keith's International Old Heids are in next week's issue. Anything special, goal scoring feats from all teams will be considered, the coverage is to promote the Club....

Reporter, The Under16 and 18 Inter District Tournaments are next weekend at Peffermill, Edinburgh. We have representation in both squads, Gordon Sinclair with the 16s and Craig Ogilvie and Andrew Lambert with the 18s. This Sunday (11th) both 16s and 18s are playing friendlies at Caledonia against Carnegie sides. It may be useful for the photographer to get photos of the negie boys involved with the squads??? |

Brid Reports (Past and Present) will be added in the near future. Youth stuff will go on once I have received copies of the written agreements. Nothing will go until then. Already had one complaint about something on the web from another club so nothing else is going on that may cause issues until I know for sure (not that I don't trust the grumpy one, but I've seen him on the pitch on a Sturday and how can he see the forms over his bottom lip?). Once I have them (and the format for the youth section is agreed with yourself and Doc) they will all go on. They're all filed away in a safe place for now. (In a directory called 'from the auld crabbit get!!' |

Dunfermline Press contacted me and apologised for no report in this week's issue, it was down to space, dedicating a whole back page to the Pars and their crisis did not help our cause..... I have been assured that next week's issue will include my 500-600 word submission on the Club and photographs.....

As the season begins it's descent into closure, I have to highlight a huge disappointment on the overall lack of team reports/news provided, thus restricting the amount of text in my weekly media report to Dunfy Press. Over the season, if not for Doc providing the results every week and the occasional dribble of a report, it has been down to me checking National press & websites to glean sufficient content. I had negotiated a regular slot in Sports Pages, but with the lack of news, this was not always published, with other sports gaining the profile. Minor rant over, appreciate we are all busy, but two lines & goal scorers, is not that time consuming...
