I train in the NC heat and don't like to be cold. When its cold my toes go numb and don't warm up for miles. It makes the start of the run harder. On Saturday my husband brought hand warmers and feet warmers. They are small and when exposed to air, create heat. Hand warmers just went in my pockets. I didn't want to put the warmers IN my shoes so we taped them to the top of my sneakers. My feet stayed warm on the walk to the start. I took them off at the gun and skipped the whole numb toe thing.
I wore a long sleeve till mile 6 then a short sleeve underarmour the whole way. I wasn't cold. The Lee bridge and the last few miles felt cooler. |
