Clarification of League Merger?
Someone tried to explain the supposed merger of the Falmouth Helston and Mining Leagues tonight. Am I right that, in simplified terms, the top 10 (or so) sides in Falmouth Helston 1 and Mining 1 will form a new 'Premier Division' for 2007/08 onwards? Before deciding where I'm playing next season, I would like to be both ambitious and realistic with regard to the potential of that club over the next 2 or 3 years. Hope that makes sense - did in my head! Cheers |

As far as I am aware the Mining League are keen to merge ASAP but the Fal/ Helston are dragging their feet a bit. As far as the league set up goes the top eight in each league will merge and make up the new Div 1 side, Div 2 side etc. or what ever they decide to call it. In my opinion ( for what it's worth )I think Fal/Helston will hang on to their leagues for as long as possible until the FA force them to merge. Some people just don't like change.
