feather picking help
Help, I am a Latino female my name is bobby. about six monthes my best friend died and my owner covered my cage all the time becaouse she did'nt want to hear me, and finally after i stared picking my featers out she decided it was time to find me a new home. Know i live with a very active house hold with lots of other small bird s to watch. Does any body have any ideas on how to help me adjust and help with the feather picking, my new aowner really wants to help but doesnt really know what the best way to go is. any advice would be helpful. |

your feather picker needs attention and wants to play with toys and if you dont have time for it find a friend for it and make sure they get along to. also is the cage big enough for it to play and spread the wings? rotate the toys in the cage.and have new toys put away and when the old gets boreing take them out of the cage and put the new ones in.when it gets borred with those..put them away and take out the ones you put away..it will be new ones all over again. lovies can get borred and start doing stupid things to themselves. make sure you have the cage where it can see you when you are not playing or spending time with it.lastly..keep the radio or tv on when you are out of the house this will keep the comunication lines open. my birds talk to the tv. good luck
