Splayed Orange Face American Yellow Lovebird (Need Someone to Adopt this Bird)
If anyone that lives on OAHU wants a free lovebird, I'm offering a perfectly healthy Orange Face American Yellow Lovebird with splayed legs . History: The parents decided to hatch 2 babies by themselves without a nest box. One turned out normal, the other didn't have any material for its feet to grip onto, so the legs ended up splitting apart (also known as splayed legs). This lovebird will not be able to stand up like a normal bird, but it rests on it's chest area perfectly balanced. It is capable of hanging onto wire mesh, but it is not able to perch on a branch. The lovebird is roughly about 5-6months old (since it's orange crown is starting to show). It's quite jittery right now and can fly around, however, I believe this bird can be tamed down since it cannot run away as fast. If wings are cut, it will be hard for this lovebird to run away from you, so I believe this lovebird will bond with whoever adopts it. I do not know how long splayed legged lovebirds last, but I'm assuming it has a lifespan just like a normal lovebird. Please let me know if you are interested. I will take serious inquiries only and due to limited space, I cannot take back the lovebird. It is perfectly healthy. |
