found lovebirds
Yesterday two lovebirds showed up at our bird feeder and they have come back a couple of times today. I did go out with food in hand yesterday in hopes of enticing them to come to me, but to no avail. My question is this: We live in Oregon, and the weather is getting kind of chilly; will lovebirds roost in nesting boxes for the wild birds? I would like to try to catch them and get them back to their owner if possible. I have put some apple and banana bits and cornbread out in hopes of getting them to stick around, but they haven't discovered it. Is there a favorite food I could put out? Any other recomendations? Thanks |

Well, I have noticed that my lovebirds particularly enjoy sunflower seeds amongst the regular "cockatiel seed mix". Do not feed them the salted sunflower seeds that humans consume. |
