Hellow,
I have suffere from hidradenitis for many years. I have had boils, cyst and carbuncles all my life, as have my 2 sisters. This runs in my family on my fathers side.
I have had over 100 operartions, including flaps under both axilla's, and I was often described as a drug seeker, and I was even told by one " Dr." at Duke Mediacl Center after his surgery did not work that some patients do not want to heal. I am 42 years old, and I have not been on a date in 4 years. I am tired and feel worn out constantly.
Now the disease has moved into muy groin.
Secondary to the higradenitis, I have become resistant to antibiotics, I suffered severe dental problems because I was contantly haveoing mout infections caused by the antibiotics the dr.s gave me. They did not give me the mooyhwash until I did reasearch and found a medicine that will help the sypmtoms of candia or thrush. I could not eat or drink anything but chocalate milk, and I lived on Ensure.
By the time I got the mouthwash for the mouth infections damage was done to my teeth and gums beyond repair. I had never had any dental problems before.
The odor and the awful open sores are a embarrassment, and I am hoping that this website will lead me to ways to treat my groin problems. I take at least 4 baths a day using Betadine. I have a seperate air conditioner in my bedroom which is set on the lowest setting.
My sister sent me the link to this site and I pray that it will help all of us who are suffering from this terrible disease.
Thank you for priding a forum to speak and learn about this disease and any future non-invasive treatments from others who are also suffering from this and other skin problems.
Thanks,
D. Ward |
