David,
I feel your pain. I too have had a terrible experience. I can't imagine having the mouth problems on top of HS. It's debilitating. Especially trying to meet new people. I think having an understanding partner has made life dealable. I can't imagine not having him. As a young girl growing up my mother never understood. Called me a freak among many other things. My father who suffers a small bit felt that he was violating me if I tried to show him a wound to ask for help dressing it or anything. I lived in silence with this for years. College was even worse with out a doctor there to help lance me painful boils. So what did I do ... drop out... real smart.. 6 months later no insurance... now 3 years and i finally have insurance again... now i get to brave the doctors all over again... can't wait to hear them tell me to lose weight again! |
