Having lost my ignition key recently, I am trying to replace the steering lock on my TF. However, the new lock, although like the original on initial inspection, does not fit. Most notably, the electrical connector has four pins in a row rather than the two rows on the MGB one. Also the locating 'lug' on the clamp is a different shape, so, even if I rewired the connector, it wouldn't fit. I wonder if a Rover SD-1 unit was used as the key had Rover written on it and the car engine is Rover. However, could anyone please advise on other locks which may be fitted to TFs, and indeed, how to identify an SD-1 lock,
