I fitted a stainless exhaust to my TA. It was supplied by Moss ( the MG parts specialist ) and was a standard system for an MGB GT ( with the smaller 'bomb' silencer ).

It needed a very slight bend near the tailpipe ( if I remember right ) and a few inches of tail pipe cut off. It makes a pleasant sound much like a standard MGB. I should think, but don't know for sure, that a similar Moss system MGB exhaust would fit your TC.

btw, My kit was built using a MGB GT as a base. I did originally order a MGB Roadster exhaust for it but it didn't fit; so you may need to know what the original base vehicle was: hmm

I seem to recall, and it was some years ago now, that when I tried to fit the exhaust made for a Tourer, it was *way* too low. I took it back and they swopped it for the correct GT exhaust. I don't know exactly what part of the system was dimensionally different to cause the problem: maybe just the length of the downpipe ............. btw the slight upward bending at the rear that I did to make it fit was for mainly cosmetic reasons.

p.s. My TA having been languishing unused in my garage for about five years has now been given to my son who has re-commisioned it and it is now back 'on the road'
