Standing at a crossroads
I know it’s make or break
But I can’t make decisions
For fear of my mistakes
I carry on, oblivious
A world on my own
Ignoring all my feelings
Becoming more alone
Building countless barriers
Doubting my own mind
Searching for that something
But what, I cannot find
Questions without answers
And flashbacks without cause
A never ending cycle
A life always on pause
But do I keep on drifting
And watch life pass me by
Letting others take control
Cos I’m too scared to try
To lose my whole identity
And freedom that I’ve found
Or do I choose to take a chance
And learn to stand my ground

i think that this poem is great! it expresses so much in such a simple way. wish i could write like that.
i do think though that you should take a chance and learn to stand your ground.
you have nothing to lose....and everything to gain.
