I have the biography of Serling. It's a great book.

I doubt that Rod was Bierce reincarnated, but he certainly admired Bierce. The _Twilight Zone_ televised _Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge_ in the late 50's--the French film by Robert Enrico. Great flick!
