theres a famer, a chicken, a fox and some chicken food, theres only 1 boat and only the famer can drive it across the river and back with only one other thing on the boat - how does the famer get the fox, chicken and chicken food over?

he can only take one person over at a time

the fox cant be left with the chicken because the fox will eat it

the chicken cant be left with the chicken food cos it will eat

so how do they get over?

You take the chicken across first, come back with the boat empty then take the grain across but bring the chicken back. Leave the chicken and take the fox and then come back for the chicken!! Woohoo!
