I wonder where my body ends
And where the world begins
For I’m forever floating
Disconnected from my skin
My limbs become the first to drift
As paralysis starts to contract
Surveying it all from a distance
Whilst I prepare myself for the attack
Each breath is yet more frantic
Each blink a final glance
Immobilised there in an instant
Induced into a trance
Oblivious to people, - sound
Unconscious in a sense
Unaware of time or place
Your life viewed through a lens
I wonder where my mind absolves
And where I go from here
When the future becomes brighter
And I’m not consumed by fear
