knockers, knickers, knacks

Not forgetting peace and peas

Why pork and work don’t sound the same
Is anybodies guessing game…
There is no f in elephant
Or even sick in sycophant!

Then curse words, things you shouldn’t say
Are only letters put that way
Rearrange them and then they
Are brand names, like ****.

Use i then e but not post c
What’s the **** validity?
Am I grey or gray?
Do I prey or pray?
Do I sigh when I buy my guy a tie?

No wonder I don’t tri or try
Which, oddly rhymes with gone awry
Bow to bend and bow to fiddle
Bough for trees and beau to diddle

English is a muddled mix
Of double meanings, visual tricks
Wrapped to rap our knuckles raw
So gnat’s enuf – the final straw!
