with all this talk of battle,
it starting to look quite dour!
for when poets at each other rattle,
we know the hour turned sour!

Mess with the boss? Oh no not I!
Upon her toes I will not tread.
I simply want my words to fly
Not drive the poet to see red

And yet...

It is such fun to rip the ****
and to make observations acute
To throw arrows that may hit or miss
Or even rotten fruit

perhaps i didnt make clear,
the boss you should fear!
but you go on without a care,
they say to win one must dare!

i admire your spirit, love the jargon!

and challenge the great dragon,

I hold no fear of the ogre
I will not dread her wrath
I've yet to see her sober
But often hear her laugh

The thing about the boss my friend
Is she can make employment end
Reccession looms so many fear
Redundancy is drawing near

The boss alas must soon make choices
Will listen clear to many voices
So watch your step and mind your lip
Or to the dole queue you might slip

From one of the few to one of the many
Gone from a wage to beg for a penny
All for the lack of respect for the boss
Its lucky for you that she never gets cross

Assumptions can a fool reveal
so ensure a wary tread
Recession large may loom afore us
but I'll always be well fed

well fed you may be, both night and day
but you'll just get fat...not happy
your body's clay and, brain cells delay
was your education....too gappy?

Appearance matters there is no doubt
for those who's water runs shallow
Still waters run deep I've heard them tout
so I'll sit and eat more marshmallow

What care I for the outward appearance
whether I'm plucked and shaved
I'm happy with all my lumps and bumps
I've nothing that needs erased

sorry to be a bore, just wanted to say that all the poems over the past few days have been great, but we preach VIP in all forms, including hurting someone with words. just dont want to see it go too far and someone get upset. with love from london x

here here jerri, lets not lose sight of why we are on these message boards but to support each other through some of the dark times as well as have fun during the lighter moments

And accusations come close to being laid

When one is unloved, forgotten, alone

yo i agree you should not fade but it would be nice to hear somethin, well . . nice! lol i love your writing its proppa flowful and witty we just have to remember a lot o young folks use this board (when we're not all hijacking it lol!) and might not get the jokes if their too subtle/mature, not to insult young folks they prob get it better than stupit me! lol but best to be careful
