We were in Belize on September 10, 2009 and had booked the tour with http://www.actionboysbelize.com. It's great and the guides work very hard with good spirit. It appeared that everyone on our tour tipped the guides. Part of the tour was a 1 1/2 mile brisk walk through a rain forest so together with the actual water tubing, water shoes are a good choice to wear. They do rent them there for just $3.00. There are changing rooms but we just wore bathing suits under shorts and tops and left them on the tour bus to have clothes to walk around Belize after the tour. There's a lunch stop on the way back on the bus and for $5.00 the chicken and rice is very good. It's a unique experience to float through the pitch black caves with a little light on your head and something not to be missed.
