Good Trout Fishing
Decided to do the PM trip today to "NOT" have to fish in the stiff NE wind. Figured most boaters would be beat up by noon and head in leaving the entire gulf wide open. WRONG, as there were boats on every platform and well until 4-5 PM. I did get the calm waters I hoped for as the gulf was slick but we found the fishing to be slower than I expected. Fishing with Jerry Belanger and his brother Mike along with "dead-eye" Chris, we fished at least a dozen structures finding 64 trout by 5PM. Everything on tantem rigged LSU chubs. Capt Marty helped out with a second boat as Kurt & Perry Boudreaux and their sons put a good smack on the trout catching 85 nice fish. Good luck fishing.
