Ghost(s) of Valley Inn Restaurant - Portsmouth, RI

I visited a few websites that I didn't bookmark about 6 months ago. One was a story about the subject Inn in Portsmouth. I vaguely remember the story of a fire and a woman who haunts the premises. Does anyone know of a good site to find this story? Does anyone know of the story at all?

I am attending a class-reunion there.

I don't remember seeing it on this one. You might try the Shadowlands website. They have a state-by-state listing of haunted sites. Have fun at your reunion!

I have search for Rhode Island ghosts but nothing was noted for Portsmouth. Had a great time tonight and no usual occurences.

I received an email with a link from a woman named Sara. The Valley Inn is the place where the mysterious burning death of Rebecca Cornell took place.

Just out of curiosity, this wouldn't be the Glencoe Inn in Portsmouth, Virginia?

I can't dig up anything about a haunted inn in Portsmouth, RI having a haunted inn, but it certainly doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Good luck with your further search if it's not the Glencoe Inn.

No, it's the one in Portsmouth, RI. There is very little information available but I did get a website from a young lady directly me to the story. It's http://cornellpress.cornell.edu

Trying doing a search for Rebecca Cornell. A friend of mine and I are thinking about going for a cocktail one evening in the bar area. Everyone I mention this place to ask me if it is even open. The parking lot is always empty. Very interesting looking inside. Hope you find the article on the website interesting. I pass it every day on my way to work.
