My trusty Trek has been through a lot in the last 6 years, but now it seems that its number is up - remains of very nice Campy Record seatpost now stuck in frame, thus frame u/s. LBS did it and I've phoned around and looks like not recoverable, although I'm going to try a framebuilder to see if it can be drilled out.
In the meantime I'm on the hunt for a secondhand frame, 54cm, or even a full bike if good value. Anyone got one they could give, I mean sell to me???

Re: Help!
Just spent afternoon with a bike mate tinkering with my bike, mentioned your problem, he's had the same and solved it by taking the blade from a hacksaw and using that inside the seat tube to saw through the seat post, you can then prise out the tube using a small chisel.

Re: Help!
Ive got a 54cm tifosi frame, forks, stem, seatpost, saddle, drop bars, with some ultegra bits on it (9 speed though), which I need to get rid of quickly, as it is taking up too much space. Quite a few miles, but good condition Give me a shout at the tour @ raftri.org.uk

Re: Help!
There were a few ads in this Week's Cycling Weekly for 54cm bikes. Do you want me to send you a photocopy of it?

Re: Help!
Kelda,
Spent all day Sunday doing it. Got most of it out but there's some stuck in there. I think I may be able to make it servicable though.
Guys,
So how much for the bikes then??

Re: Help!
Jolly good! With WD40 etc may be you can push the last few bits down, provided a new post wasn't too long it could work ...
