Now that we've all at least attempted to get some winter miles in the bag I thought we could learn from each others striving successes (and blundering faux pas!)? Any serious tips/advice or tales to tell from another close-season? Was it off the back of your first tri season and you didn't have a scooby what to do over winter?

One thing I like to know on a new course , be it tri/du or just a 10k is where I start the last 2--3 km .
Many times one hears ''oh I wished I had know I was so close to the finish , I could have gone pushed it ''.
My warm up is normally to run the course backwards for a couple of K to familiarize myself.
