This is what we are up against!!!!

"I noticed that Denounced and Nupe4Life were taking this topic in a religious direction and Unity just sent it over the edge so since we are there, I might as well put my 2 cents in. I agree with most of what Unity is saying. Let me start by giving you some of my background. I have been in the Church (baptist) since I was born. I became saved and was baptized on June 10, 1986, I was 8 years old. This was totally my idea and I knew exactly what I was doing at the time. I didn't get to know God until June 21, 1997 (the day I crossed). We I started college in 1995 I had stopped going to church (but continued with my beliefs). I did a lot of praying and self evaluating during my pledge process. That was the most spiritual time of my life to date. On my hell night we were left in a field and told to pray. For the first hour I just sat there and wondering what was going to happen. Then I looked at my two LBs and said that I have to be strong for them. I then began to pray. At that point a peace came over me that I have never felt before. I began to recite a scripture that I never paid much attention to before. It went a little something like: Yeah though I walk through the valley of the shaddow of death I shall fear no evil, for the rod and the staff they comfort me. I just kept repeating that over and over again. That night I became spiritual not religious. After that night I bagan to look at things different and I finally uderstood the Bible for me.
I said all of that for this reason. Christians are a very religious people, but lack spirituality. We do things because someone told us that is how it is suppose to be done and we interpret the Bible the way someone told us how we should. I think the most important lesson Jesus ever taught was to have a personal relationship with God. When I asked you what you think unequally yoked meant I was trying to get an understanding of where you were coming from. The fact of the matter is Jesus spent the last years of his life with people who you might concider unequally yoked with him. Does the name Judas ring any bells. I agree with Unity of a lot of his/her points. We as Christians tend to force our interpretations of the Bible on others (judge), but in retrospect we have no idea if what we are reading is the whole truth. We just have faith that it is. Have you ever asked yourself what Jesus was doing between 13 and 30. If he is the Lord our God in the flesh, are those years not important. Do we have a free pass for 17years? A lot of his last hours were spent with Mary and yet there is no book from her in the Bible, did they talk about anything. Christians for whatever reason have been trained to be religious robots. We are all suppose to look at Christianity the same way and if not then we are not living a Christ like life. So what happens, people begin to feel uncomfortable in church and leave all together or people leave their denomination and create a new one, but read from the same book. Have you ever wondered why a comidian can get up on stage and make a joke about what goes on in their church and everyone in the crowd laugh because the same thing happens in their church. Until the church starts teaching its people how to be free thinkers in the Lord, then this type of attitude is going to continue. It reminds me of when I was talking to my pastor about some of the members going to the Bingo halls. He was telling me how upset he was and he asked me if I have ever gone (wrong person to ask right). I told him not only do I go there, but I go to the Casinos and play the Lotto. He asked me why and told me that don't I know that that is going against the Lord's will for his children to not gamble. Then I asked him what gambling means and is it only when money is of the concerned. Then I asked him if he had stocks in the stock market and he told me yes. I said, is that not gambling. He told me it was different, HOW? What I have noticed is that Christians live their faith to society standards. As long as the general population says it is okay then we think it is acceptible. So we interpret the Bible to fit that way of thinking.
What I disagree with Unity on is Slaves being upset that we have accepted this belief. I am so tired of hearing that. Let's not forget that we didn't just start believing in Christianity. A lot of slaves took this religion as their own. A lot of slaves learn to read because of the bible. All types of religious beliefs have been forced on all different types of people. That doesn't make the religion right or wrong for that group of people (remember the Lord works in mysterious ways). As far as I am concerned I don't care what religion you are in as long as it makes you a better person and you believe in it. Who are we to say that God has not provided different religions for different people.
That's a little bit of my take on Christianity." I will break this down in a reply- Minister Hatchett

"I might as well put my 2 cents in. (Just 2 cents about Christianity!) I agree with most of what Unity is saying.
(Unity is a person who types Jesus AS j*s*s, and Christian AS xian. So this is who he is in agreement with.)

Let me start by giving you some of my background. I have been in the Church (baptist) since I was born. I became saved and was baptized on June 10, 1986. I was 8 years old. This was totally my idea and I knew exactly what I was doing at the time. I didn't get to know God until June 21, 1997, the day I crossed [became a Sigma].
(If he KNEW God as he stated, then he must have backslidden. It’s such a coincidence how he came to know God the same day he became a Sigma. The same day he said, ‘I believe in the principles of Phi Beta Sigma, and my loyalty to these transcends ALL PERSONAL responibilities’, he claims to have said or believed, ‘God, I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins, and I am willing to change and live for you.’ Can you see the dilemma? The formation of two masters? Well you will see later who he serves.)

When I started college in 1995, I had stopped going to church (but continued with my beliefs)
[Going to church is A PART of being Christian].
I did a lot of praying(To who was he praying?) and self-evaluating during my pledge process. That was the most spiritual time of my life to date. On my hell night (Helloooo!!!!) we were left in a field and told to pray.
(That's a real Brotherly thing to do. That's LOVE!) For the first hour I just sat there and wondering what was going to happen.
(What were you wondering? How bad is it going to be? What you would learn from a beating? Will I survive?)
(Spiritual- A word synonymous with compromise. For shaking off Jehovah as a judge).
After that night I bagan to look at things different and I finally understood the Bible for me.
(Your personal relationship has its boundaries. The Word of God is one of them.)
I said all of that for this reason. Christians are a very religious people, but lack spirituality. We do things because someone told us that is how it is suppose to be done and we interpret the Bible the way someone told us how we should. I think the most important lesson Jesus ever taught was to have a personal relationship with God.
(Your personal relationship has rules. Remember! YOU MADE HIM YOUR LORD. You must now do as He SAYS or suffer the consequences.)
When I asked you what you think unequally yoked meant I was trying to get an understanding of where you were coming from.
(To have a close, voluntary relationship, continual fellowship(religious or natural) with those who are not saved. I Corinthians 15:33/Amos 3:3. To be in agreement with those who follow Satan. Read Matthew 12:50/Hebrews 7:26)
The fact of the matter is Jesus spent the last years of his life with people who you might consider unequally yoked with him. Does the name Judas ring any bells?
(It sure does. Read the story very closely about him. Jesus extended His love to him in every way to have him repent and not be overtaken by Satan. But did he take the passover? No! Jesus did not take part in communion with him. READ the conditions for taking ommunion. I Corinthians 11) Did Jesus EVER fellowship with him after all attempts to bring him to repentance were dissolved? NO!)

I agree(AGREE-Amos 3:3) with Unity of a lot of his/her points. We as Christians tend to force our interpretations of the Bible on others (judge), but in retrospect we have no idea if what we are reading is the whole truth.
(IS WHAT YOU ARE SAYING BIBLICAL? II Timothy 3:16/II Peter 1-19-21 say different. I guess god is wrong and you are right. Ye!)
We just have faith that it is. Have you ever asked yourself what Jesus was doing between 13 and 30.
(Yes! But I have all the info I need about that.) If (If!!!!! If!!!!!!!! he is the Lord our God in the flesh, are those years not important.( To Who?) Do we have a free pass for 17years? (Are you God in the flesh?)
A lot of his last hours were spent with Mary and yet there is no book from her in the Bible, did they talk about anything.
(Is it any of your business? Does it really matter? I do know that during those years He did not SIN.) That in Him were fulfilled many scriptures. That history portrays him exactly as He is, Jesus, the God-man. If the man you call your father died and was cremated, and no physical evidence was left to prove it, can you unequivocally say that he was your dad? You are being petty,

Christians for whatever reason have been trained to be religious robots.
(No! We are free will agents who DECIDE to be so obedient to God that we appear to be robots.)
We are all suppose to look at Christianity the same way and if not then we are not living a Christ like life.
(If Jesus is the same always, then who are we to change Him? If the Bible says fornication is wrong, then who has the RIGHT to say it’s okay.)
So what happens, people begin to feel uncomfortable in church and leave all together or people leave their denomination and create a new one, but read from the same book. Have you ever wondered why a comedian can get up on stage and make a joke about what goes on in their church and everyone in the crowd laugh because the same thing happens in their church. Until the church starts teaching its people how to be free thinkers in the Lord (please explain, fearless), then this type of attitude is going to continue.
(But who are you supposed to follow?) It reminds me of when I was talking to my pastor about some of the members going to the Bingo halls.
(If anyone has any sense and read their Bible, it is clear to see the difference. Now I do blame your Pastor for calling something wrong with no Biblical and Factual proof.)
What I have noticed is that Christians live their faith to society standards. (The ones you see!!!!!) Matthew 25/Luke 19. Gambling is not even HINTED at here. But trading and putting money in the bankers hands and drawing interest is. LOOK AT THE GAMBLE YOU ARE TAKING WITH WHAT YOU BELIEVE AS OPPSED TO WHAT IS WRITTEN.)
As long as the general population says it is okay then we think it is acceptable. So we interpret the Bible to fit that way of thinking.
(The true Christian does not go the world’s way. Christianity is a theocracy. It’s about what God says, not the majority. I will admit that PEOPLE have taken Christianity and are making it a philosophical mush. But God does not change for man, and do not forget it.)
What I disagree with Unity on is Slaves being upset that we have accepted this belief. I am so tired of hearing that. Let's not forget that we didn't just start believing in Christianity. A lot of slaves took this religion as their own. A lot of slaves learn to read because of the bible. All types of religious beliefs have been forced on all different types of people.(People do not have to accept what is forced on them.)
That doesn't make the religion right or wrong for that group of people, remember the Lord works in mysterious[NOT MYSTICAL fearless] ways.
(What is a mystery?)
As far as I am concerned I don't care what religion you are in as long as it makes you a better person and you believe in it. (You may not care, but your beliefs clearly display that you are in danger of having many millstones hung around your neck. You are an ecumenicalist. An IDOALTER!!!!!!!!! Better people don’t go to heaven.)

Who are we to say that God has not provided different religions for different people.
(We are those believers who are BOLD enough, FEARLESS enough to say what God says, and tell people when they are wrong. People THINK they can be Anarchist Christians, but they are WRONG.)
That's a little bit of my take on Christianity.
(And your little adds up to be absolutely nothing. Useless, baseless, vain, ignorant, foolish, and not becoming of one who would call himself a Christian.)

Now you all see what we are up against. I ask you to study these posts, as they will help you in future confrontations IN SOUL WINNING AND WITH GREEKS.
