Comma questions

Do commas belong in these sentences?

It wasn't until I made my way outside and into the cool wet grass that I fully became aware of my surroundings.

The back end of our trailer where my bedroom once stood was engulfed in a sea of red and orange flames.

They rushed me into a small room expecting the worst.

My sister in the room beside me heard my cries.

Re: Comma questions

(1) It wasn't until I made my way outside and into the cool wet grass that I fully became aware of my surroundings.

NO COMMAS REQUIRED

(2) The back end of our trailer where my bedroom once stood was engulfed in a sea of red and orange flames.

THIS DEPENDS. IF THE BACK END OF THE TRAILER IS ON FIRE, THEN YES (, where my bedroom once stood, ). HOWEVER, IF THE WHOLE AREA (I.E. WHERE THE BEDROOM ONCE STOOD) IS ON FIRE, THEN NO COMMAS ARE REQUIRED.

(3) They rushed me into a small room expecting the worst.

YES, BEFORE EXPECTING

(4) My sister in the room beside me heard my cries.

NO COMMAS

Re: Comma questions

I'd like to rethink some of these answers actually:

(4) My sister, in the room beside me, heard my cries.

is also possible.
