Actually, it's the other way around. GM does not cover basic grammar, because the site is designed for English-speaking people who are required to produce high-quality correspondence. For example, it will cover how to use semicolons, but it won't explain that the verb "to be" conjugates "am, are, is, etc." This is because a native English speaker knows this instinctively.
