What is the participle phrase and the words the phrase modifies?

What would the participle phrase me in this sentence???
~Jupiter, knowing her charms, nevertheless married her to Vulcan, the ugliest of the gods.

I believe it would be "knowing her charms" which modifying Jupiter.
