Could someone help me?
We are studying verbs in our Classical Conversations Essentials class. My question is:

We have past and present participle verbs as part of our verb principle parts...then we have particples which are verbals that act as an adjective and can have the form of an past or present participle. Is the only difference between the two the part of speech they are in the sentence? Therefore, the child needs to look at the part of speech to determine whether it is a verbal or a verb...am I on the right track?
