To pet or to be petted, antique/antiques dealer

Updating pet adoption site for local shelter - is it correct to say "the cat likes to be pet" or is it correct to say "the cat likes to be petted". Also, is it correct to call a person an "antique dealer" or is "antiques dealer" correct. Thanks.
