I have debated this question with many people, but never got a definitive answer. Which of the follow sentences is correct and why?
She swims better than I.
She swims better than me.
She is stronger than me.
She is stronger than I.

Re: than me/than I?
Both are acceptable. I prefer "better than me" because a sentence can only have one subject. But, "better than I" is also acceptable because it is short for "better than I do", which means the second "I" is now the subject of its own clause, which is acceptable too.
