Hi, could you advise regarding the full stop here, should it be within the quotation or outside it in the following sentence: As somoene once said, "Books may well be the only true magic." Thank you.
In the U.S. the full stop is inside the quotes, unless the sentence ends with a question mark. I think it's different in the U.K.
