Punctuation at the end of Ellipses

I'm a proper grammar geek, but there's one thing that puzzles me: punctuation at the end of ellipses. Exclamation marks at the end are for: humour, like if something's really, really funny; and to show exasperation. Question marks show that something is said in a funny way, for example: "But what about the...?" Said Lisa.My teacher says commas at the end (and all punctuation) of ellipses is grammatically incorrect, but I'd quite like a second opinion please!
Many thanks in advance!!!!

This answer may not be much help, but I've never heard of such a rule.
