Nominal phrase??? Help please.

Does anyone know what exactly is the NOMINAL PHRASE?

Re: Nominal phrase??? Help please.

A nominal phrase (abbreviated NP) is a phrase which has a noun (or indefinite pronoun) as its head word, or which performs the same grammatical function as such a phrase.

Good luck with this one Visnja. I found a chap chatting about nominal phrases (also known as noun phrases) for about 10 minutes on youtube at the following link:

I hope it helps. I'm not sure I can help any further with this one.

Noun phrases? I had a question about this in my level six test during my yea six SATs:
Turn the following phrase into a noun phrase:
The Tractor
(Or something like that anyway-maybe 'the red tractor'? Anyway, I answered with the following:)
The red tractor in the field
and I believe it was right!
