Usage of Singular or plural nouns after 'any'

Is there any rule regarding the usage of singular or plural nouns after the adjective 'any'?
For example- Do you have any doubt? OR
Do you have any doubts?
Are both of the above correct? Or one of them? And which one?
And also, where can I find the rule for the same?

Re: Usage of Singular or plural nouns after 'any'

You will know that any is an indefinite adjective.

If you type: "define: any" into Google. It will offer a definition for you. It will say something like:

Used to refer to one or some of a thing or number of things, no matter how much or many: "I don't have any choice".

So, any can be used to modify singular or plural things. Therefore, the answer to your question, I think, is any dictionary.

Good question.
