I'm not a native English speaker so I'm having a hard time. I know they are synonyms but can sure be used as a reply to something like "Do you like it?" It makes it seem so insincere. I don't think they can be used interchangeably but can they? Google now even gives the example "“Are you serious?” “Sure.”".
