uhm...in my english lesson today in my school...my english teacher asked me to find out why some words have double alphabets to make it a past tense..for example knocked is the past tense of knock but then it just has a -ed yet words like hugged kissed and etc have double alphabets huG-Ged drop-ped ......it seems like a dumb question but i need to know why actually..:/
