just wondering if the following phrase is grammatically correct and has the meaning I want it to:

"Lunar Appreciation Society"

Lunar is an adjective... can it just be describing what the appreciation society is for?
Moon Appreciation Society sounds boring and doesn't have the mystical ring to it that I'm looking for.

Yes, it's fine.

Just like:
Art Appreciation Course
Music Appreciation Classes

but Art and Music are both nouns. Lunar us an adjective.

so it would be like Arty Appreciation Club or Musical Appreciation Club
