There is so much misunderstanding surrounding the tenses, I was wondering whether it might be valuable to forum members if I went into/discussed the basic nature of the tenses - not just regurgitating what is available on every grammar website, but getting down to the nitty gritty. I would start with the Present Tense, then Present Continuous etc., along the way to the Past Perfect tenses, covering why we could say:
I go to Hawaii next year.
or
I am going to Hawaii next year.
or
I will be going to Hawaii next year.
Yes that'd be awesome. I know them all but if you can be different from all the rest of the information available on the internet, as you usually are, then I'd view it is a good and dependable go-to guide.
Great.
Give me a fews days, and I'll post re Present Tense…with my full intent to honour your admonition "...if you can be different from all the rest of the information available on the Internet."
