Native speaker mistakes

Hello.
A speaker of Portuguese asked me this and I don't know the answer.

Hi! Could you help me? I have a doubt about the place of the prounoun "that" in this sentence: " do you know whose car that is? Or it would be like this: " do you know whose car is that? I will be grateful.

Could any1 here help out?
I'd love to know.

Thanks

Re: Native speaker mistakes

Whose car is that?

"Do you know whose car that is?"

Bazza:
Thanks for replying.

Could you include an explanation as to why your answered the way you did?
It would help me because he's looking for the "WHY" part of the answer as well.

Thanks!
