flowers, vegetables are common noun or proper noun? please explain me

Re: English

A proper noun is the name of something where there is only one: ( India, Jupiter, Paul, NATO, Mazda)

Common nouns are the names of a category of something (such as city, animal, planet, person or car)

So 'flowers' is a common noun. 'roses' is a proper noun.
'vegetables' is a common noun. 'carrot' is a proper noun.
'city' is a common noun. 'New York' is a proper noun.
