Re: Bullet lists which use the word \\\'or\\\'...are all bullet points requi

I suppose what I'm asking is - if you were trying to discern whether or not a cow is in your backyard, and the only way to identify if in fact you have a cow was to review this list:

Cows are:
- purple;
- spotted;
- gangrenous;
- odorous; or
- magnificent

Do you have a cow if something is purple, gangrenous, and odorous, but not spotted or magnificent?

Re: Bullet lists which use the word \\\\\\\'or\\\\\\\

Read the rules..cows are spotted.No spots...no cow. 2. cows are all the above so if you have the 4 qualities you have a cow. 3. (or) means other..either ...so if it is just Magnificent...you do have a cow.

Re: Bullet lists which use the word \\\\\\\'or\\\\\\\

" but not spotted or magnificent"

That is different to 'odorous or magnificent', which implies it must be ONE of them.

'Cows ARE' = 'have the identity of a cow if they have ALL of the characteristics listed, EXCEPT they can be one or the other of 'odorous' and 'magnificent'.

Say the animal in your back yard is spotted. Since so are leopards, then we must have a minimum number of identifying characteristics.

So -
Cows have a minimum of 3 of the following identifying characteristics:
- purple;
- spotted;
- gangrenous;
- odorous;
- magnificent;
