Hi I'm writing a novel and have been told it is bad practice to use 'and then'. can anyone explain why? Thanks Hal
I DONT THINK IT IS A GRAMMATICAL ERROR , BUT IT ISNT COOL. ( SUCH THINGS WOULD MAKE THE ARTICLE BORING )
abcd: It's one thing to be 'cool' yourself; but when advising others on their English, try to show you know how to write English yourself. BUT IT ISN"T COOL (apostrophe)
And writing in capitals is yelling!
And the period should follow 'Boring' not 'Cool'.
LUKE; Boy - that idea is fifteen years out of date. Have you just crawled out from under some rock?
I don't think it matters whether or not using capitals is yelling. The sight of them is just plain ugly.
