The proper use of "in" and "on"

I am writing technical documentation on a software package and am confused on the proper use of “in” and “on.” There is a form to be used for data entry. Should I write “On the header section enter your name” or “In the header section enter your name?”
Thank you to all who respond. I appreciate having this forum available.

Re: The proper use of "in" and "on"

I think "in" make more sense.

Re: The proper use of "in" and "on"

The choice of "IN" and "ON" is debatable; but 'ON THE HEADER SECTION ENTER YOUR NAME' looks cleaner. You can insert "IN" if you wish to elaborate this sentence.
'ON THE HEADER SECTION ENTER YOUR NAME IN CAPITALS'
