Which sen tense is grammatically correct?
"my hard disc has been crashed" or "my hard disc has crashed"

Please explain

1. My hard disk has been crashed.
2. My hard disk has crashed.

They are both grammatically correct, but there is a difference in that 1. is a passive construction, whilst 2. is active. Importantly, they have different meanings.

Although the passive here does not specify exactly who was involved, it implies that someone has crashed your hard disk, deliberately or accidentally, for example My hard disk has been crashed (by Ed).

In the active version, the implication is that the disk crashed due to a failure, not because of someone's actions.

Do you see the difference?
