Something I've been wondering: preventive vs. preventative. Are they interchangeable? Is one used moreover than the other depending on the context? The general concensus seems to be that "preventive" is an adjective, and "preventative" is a noun, but I'm not so sure that's an absolute rule. Can someone shed any light?

Hi Ben
You really should use your dictionary for an answer to such questions.
