I need an expert !

Hello

How to link the /t/ in "it was" ...what pronunciation pattern should we use in linking the /t/ to the next word "was" ?

The /t/ can't be omitted because it precedes a vowel sound but followed by consonant and can't pronounced as glottal stop because it not followed by fricative consonant neither blocked consonant . finally, can't be linked as alveolar/ t/ because the /w/ in" was" doesn't represent a vowel sound.

I have the same problem trying to link /t/ in "taught them" , not sure what pronunciation pattern should be used.

Thanks
