Well versed in and well versed with

Hi!

I would like to know when we should use 'Well versed in' and when we should use 'Well versed with'. I feel I know it by practice but not sure how to explain it.

For example we use, I am well versed in Spoken English. We don't normally use 'well versed with' here.

But we can use well versed with computers.

I am not sure about the logic behind this.

Can you please help me?

Re: Well versed in and well versed with

"I would like to know when we should use ... 'Well versed with' ": NEVER

well versed in = experienced or skilled in; knowledgeable about

Apparently, some people are wanting to use 'well versed WITH" when they simply mean 'familiar with' or 'very experienced with'.
