adverbial clause

I am needing to break down the sentence "the sheep go down" - I have go as the main verb intransitive and down as an adverb, making an adverb phrase?
Any help would be great.
Thanks

Re: adverbial clause

"The sheep go down" is an incomplete sentence. The preposition "down" requires a complement to complete its meaning as in "The sheep go down the hill", in which case the preposition phrase "down the hill" would traditionally be called an adverbial (but note that it's a phrase, not a clause).
