Re: Agreement: "Survey after survey" used as subject

"Survey after survey, in virtually every sector, reveals erosion of confidence in leadership."

1. the commas separated off an interpolation
2 singular verb ( 'the first survey reveals..'; 'the next survey also reveals erosion'; and so on
3. 'erosion' is the process of wearing-away. The end result may go deep, but we can't say that about the process. Is this 'a continuing erosion', or do you need a different word to 'erosion'?
4. 'erosion of', not 'to'.
compare
"It is estimated that a rise in sea level of 8 to 10 centimeters (3 to 4 inches) will cause enough erosion to threaten buildings, sewer systems, roads, and tunnels."

Can you see the difference?

I feel very enlightened now. Thank you for helping me with this sentence and for providing even more improvements to it.
